Hi everybody.  Since I won't be able to make the reunion, thought I'd go ahead and drop a note real quick.  Since the 10 year reunion, gave up politics for good, got an adult job in p.r., lived in Denver, then Dallas, and have been out here in the Bay Area since 2001 working for Symantec.  I love it out here, but am pretty pissed that it took 33 years to finally find a place where I fit in, ha-ha!  But the mountains, ocean, beaches, and that place called San Francisco sure keep me busy.  However, I come home about 10 to 12 times a year.  Oklahoma, and Norman in particular, are and always will be home.  Hell, I have to come home that much not to go into Toto's, Cocina's, and the Mont withdrawals.  Well you guys take care.  Feel free to Google me and that'll probably give you a better idea of what I've been up to job-wise.  Y'all holler if you're ever out to the Bay Area.

Got married (way too young) and lived up and down the east coast before settling in South Carolina for 5 years. Earned my Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from the College of Charleston and returned to Oklahoma in '92. Spent a year working at an insurance company before joining the University of Oklahoma Financial Aid Office (go Sooners!!!) where I am now Assistant Director of Student Loan Processing.  I enjoy my family, the best friends anyone could hope for, a challenging weekly Iyengar Yoga practice, my growing ebay addiction, playing cards, but most of all, spending time with my love, Doug. He is originally from Tulsa and now lives in OKC working as an Electrical Engineer for EDS/GM. His passion is flying and he is building his own airplane an RV-7!!! We both feel incredibly fortunate to have found each other after a lot of heartache and hard lessons.

Although I missed the 10 year, I hope to make it to our 20th.  Thanks to everyone who is working hard to make it happen.  I look forward to seeing you all!!

Update: Doug and I recently bought a home together here in Norman where we reside with our two spoiled rottweilers. I think we are also unofficially engaged. :-)

I went to OU for a year before serving a 2 year mission for the LDS church in Auckland, New Zealand.  When I returned, I finished a degree in electrical engineering at OU and went on to complete a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Utah in 1999.  I am now on the faculty at the University of Utah, where I do research in scientific computing and visualization.  I travel frequently to various academic conferences and meetings.

I have four daughters who keep me very busy.  I enjoy the outdoors and enjoy building things around the house.

We also have three dogs, a cat and a couple of hamsters. I stay home with my boys and help out at their school. I volunteer on a few Boards, work at my favorite clothing store once a week (for the discount), and I have run three marathons in the past 14 months. I am looking forward to our 20th!

Since NHS I've been career-focused on school, work, school, and work, with some play in between. I've lived in OKC; Vancouver, BC; Seattle, Lynnwood & Arlington, Washington. I've been married x 8 years, and have 2 cats (who think they are children). I make my living in private practice, and as a university faculty member. Fun for me is answering listener/viewer questions on my radio talk show/ TV spot, and staying politically involved. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you, and returning to Oklahoma to visit. Thanks, in advance, to the alumni committee for your efforts on bringing the class of '86 together.

5/14/06: OK, so my wife thought the pic I initially submitted made her look- say "like a man!"  Of course, we couldn't have that, so here is something a little more recent.  For those of you thinking of not attending, keep in mind you will never have this opportunity to reconnect with your crazy classmates like this.  Attend!
